Haunted South Wales

Haunted South Wales is the new book by Jonathan and Mark Lambert,

Both writers have had a life – long interest in the subject of the paranormal, are both members of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) and have also for the past eight years been conducting their own investigations. They are also collectors of stories regarding the paranormal. The stories in this book have been gathered over a period of twenty years. It was always the intention of the authors, once sufficient material had been gathered, to write a book which would contribute to this fascinating but much misunderstood field of study.

The book contains 15 true stories, all of which are from the South Wales area and detail a number of encounters with the paranormal. A good number of the experiences involve the authors, who were themselves the primary witness (s). The stories within Haunted South Wales encompass a wide range of paranormal phenomena ranging from discarnate sounds, the feeling of the sense of a presence, through to sightings of apparitions. None of the accounts in this book have been published elsewhere, all the stories are ‘new’, so to speak. One of the sections in Haunted South Wales details the long-term investigation of a historical site in South Wales.

A criteria for inclusion was that the accounts featured in Haunted South Wales had to be first-hand, with the authors interviewing the witness (s) in person. The authors are critical in their examination of the evidence and rationally evaluate the material presented. For example, the accounts within Haunted South Wales had to feature some objective supportive phenomena rather than being entirely visceral in nature - there had to be some substance to the story to merit inclusion. The phenomena related to the authors also had to conform in some degree to known and documented cases of genuine paranormal encounters.

The content of Haunted South Wales will appeal to a diverse range of people - those with a deep belief in the supernatural, those who are curious or sceptical, or those who simply enjoy a good ghost story.
