Welcome to Hidden Glamorgan - if
you are interested in the history of the Vale of Glamorgan, you've come to the
right place! This website, established in 2010 is run by twin brothers Mark
and Jonathan Lambert who are writers based in the Vale of Glamorgan and Sweden. Both
writers are archaeology graduates of Cardiff University. Mark and
Jonathan Lambert were the first to bring the history of the Vale of Glamorgan
online within an accessible resource with Hidden Glamorgan having a focus on
the lesser - known history of the Vale of Glamorgan.
Mark and Jonathan lambert have
written a number of books as well as having numerous articles published. We are also pleased to have contributed our work and research to the
history section of the new website for Barry (Barry-Cymru) commissioned by the
Vale of Glamorgan Council as well as having been a major contributor to the

writers have been
involved with numerous archaeological excavations within the Vale of Glamorgan
and beyond and have directed their own excavations at Cosmeston.
Mark and Jonathan Lambert have been involved with protecting local heritage, championing the preservation of our standing historical architecture – both writers led a two-man campaign to protect one of Penarth’s oldest standing buildings at Lower Cosmeston Farm and, based on our research and reports Cadw granted listed building status for the heritage at risk there.

motivation behind Hidden Glamorgan has always been a genuine interest in
history and a love of our shared past with our content being well
researched and original.
